Bramble Lee Pryde is an interdisciplinary artist and curator that explores the intersection of nostalgia, fashion and lowbrow art in unexpected mediums.
Bramble Lee Pryde has always questioned the process and continues to blur the lines between art and design. She is an interdisciplinary artist who creates unity in her practice by combining sculpture, textiles, and visual arts in adornments, ceramics, painting, and textile work. She has been featured in Refinery29, CBC Life, PAPER Magazine, FASHION Magazine, Trendhunter, and has written articles for MAKERS Magazine and Art Zealous. They have showcased her work in major cities nationwide and most recently completed a collaboration with the Glenbow Museum, receiving the distinguished honour of Artist of the Year from Maison Simons/Fabrique 1840.
Bramble’s experiences are vast and varied. After studying Fine Arts at UBCO and receiving a diploma in Design and Formation from Langara College, she travelled extensively. During this time, she learned the importance of longevity and lineage in adornment. This brought her to Australia, where she earned a diploma in Metalsmithing from TAFE in Perth, WA, and embarked on a decade-long exploration of contemporary jewellery and adornment. Bramble’s most recent curation was White Rabbit, a retail experience in a gallery setting that supported over 50 artists and designers through a brick-and-mortar space, pop-ups, and themed events.
Bramble Lee Pryde combines her extensive 15+ years of artistic practice with over a decade of leadership and practical experience gained at one of the foremost pioneering global cult brands. She channels this rich background into her personal brand initiatives, such as Subject·Object.
